Howard G. McPherson joined Cronin, Fried, Sekiya, Kekina & Fairbanks in 2004 as Of Counsel, bringing his nearly 20 years of legal experience to the firm. Mr. McPherson was born and raised in Hawaii and, before going to law school, had a career in commercial diving and salvage. In this capacity, he participated in numerous marine construction and offshore oil production projects throughout Hawaii, the U.S. Mainland, and other U.S. Pacific possessions. This unique experience means that Mr. McPherson focuses much of his practice on handling admiralty cases in Federal courts. A committed trial attorney, he is adept at handling complex litigation as well as other torts and insurance issues that arise in these types of cases. He is often invited to give seminars on maritime law, and is the author of “The Marine Advisor,” an admiralty newsletter.
